About Dr. James Bailey

With a rich and diverse career in education, Dr. James Bailey has worn many hats: teacher, principal, school turnaround specialist, principal consultant, superintendent in K-12, and core faculty member and academic program coordinator in higher education. As the co-founder of Brass Tacks Innovations, Dr. Bailey has been at the forefront of initiatives aimed at increasing teacher retention, fostering leadership development, strategic planning, and equipping leaders to navigate the new world of Artificial Intelligence.

Brass Tacks Innovations also extends its expertise to educational startups, offering comprehensive business planning services to support their growth and success. Driven by a deep commitment to equity and empowering school leaders, Dr. Bailey trained as an executive coach and champions leaders' social-emotional learning (SEL), inspired by his recent publication with Corwin Press, The Daily SEL Leader: A Guided Journal, co-authored with Randy Weiner.

Dr. Bailey holds a PhD in Educational Leadership and Innovation and has been a faculty member at Walden University since 2015, specializing in educational leadership. His extensive experience and unwavering dedication to education make him a transformative figure in the field.
